Submitting RFGP proposal as a new user on the platform

Hey Aztec team and community,

I wanted to share a bit of feedback from the experience of submitting our grant proposal for the Cross-Chain Bridges RFP.

I finally got my post live - but the process was surprisingly complicated, especially given that today was the final deadline:

• I had to wait ~4 hours for my proposal post to be approved by a moderator. OK, fine, makes sense, but I could’ve missed the deadline if I waited for the last day.

• Then, I couldn’t submit the required reply to the RFP thread (which is part of the official submission flow) - because that also went into pending status for mods approval. Now, after 12+ hours this one is still in the “pending” status.

• To make things harder, as a new user on the forum, I was blocked from:

• Posting more than 1 link

• Embedding more than 1 image

• And even editing my own post to fix any issues or formatting.

This meant I had to publish the proposal with some broken formatting and link references, which felt off for a final submission .

Totally understand the need for anti-spam measures, but just wanted to flag that the current setup makes it pretty tough for new contributors to participate - especially under a deadline.

Appreciate the support I got via email from the team :folded_hands: and looking forward to hearing what the community thinks about this…

Totally agree, I’ve faced the same issues and it’s very challenging

Hi! helpful feedback thanks
Just for context: our forum gets spammed HEAVILY by bots and potential airdrop farmers (not sure why they think spamming here is the way lol), so for our sanity we had to make things stricter though discourse bots don’t have that many granular controls

The easiest solution that our current admins came up, given your feedback, was adding me as an admin too so there is a quicker turnaround time

yes, i get it, totally makes sense (unlike the airdrop “farmers”) just wanted to voice it out since it can potentially be counterproductive for the community building. also, could be useful to add some text in future RFPs (ie. please be aware if you are a new user on the forum that all your posts will have to be validated by the mod, which can take some time…). thanks for replying, and nice RFP btw :sign_of_the_horns:

Adding text in the RFP is a GREAT suggestion! Thanks!
