We are looking for one human to join us in the Aztec SlashVeto Council.
Our main purpose is to keep watch over the autonomous machine that is the Aztec Network and protect it during its weakest moments. We are structured like a Security Council multisig (diverse members, geographically distributed, not associated with Aztec corporate entities), but are only responsible for a much smaller set of permissions than you might be used to. In fact, we only have two permissions:
- Veto specific slashing payloads
- Veto all slashing for 72 hours

We are passionate to see Aztec Network grow through Ignition and now Alpha, and expect more work to come up for us with the added slashing conditions. Although we are unpaid volunteers, we were encouraged to and will request retroactive funding from the Aztec community after ~ one year through a governance proposal.
The choice among the applicants will not be made by community vote but by internal SlashVeto Council consensus, since we are already formed.
